Digital DNA Tourism Roadshow Rolls into Armagh

Digital DNA in partnership with Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council and Tourism Northern Ireland is hosting an interactive workshop in Armagh City Hotel on 30th March aimed at helping tourism and hospitality related businesses to grow their business through the use of digital technologies.

Digital technology is no longer a ‘nice thing to have’. It is critical to the development, growth and reach of businesses and organisations within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. With Northern Ireland seeing a spike in interest thanks to investment and interest from around the world, utilising digital to reach a global audience is key to enabling local businesses to capture market share of this global marketplace.
Deputy Lord Mayor, Paul Greenfield has welcomed the workshop to the Borough. He said: “I am delighted that local businesses across the tourism and hospitality sector are being given the opportunity to learn valuable skills to enable them to better harness the many benefits that digital marketing, in particular social media, could have for their business. With the Digital DNA workshop’s focus on enabling businesses to reach a wider audience, I would urge accommodation providers, restaurants and bars, attractions, transport providers and tour operators to attend as I am confident that it will prove highly beneficial for all of those taking part”.
Digital DNA's Digital Tourism Roadshow will provide a limited number of participants with a unique opportunity to consider their own business/organisational plans and through a facilitated session consider how they can develop and adopt a digital strategy relevant to their goals and budget.
Digital DNA has again teamed up with The Tomorrow Lab who will deliver the expert content. The Tomorrow Lab will use its own unique model to look, in an uncomplicated manner, at what each participant should consider to inform their own digital strategy. The content delivered will address the findings of the recent Digital Audit which was conducted across Northern Ireland to identify the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

Stephen Bill, Regional Manager at Tourism NI said:
“More and more visitors to Northern Ireland are using technology to research, book and plan their stay. It is therefore vital that the tourism and hospitality sector has a handle on how to capitalise on this trend for the benefit of their own business. Tourism NI is delighted to be working in association with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council on this important initiative”.
