New Accommodation Developments
It is an exciting time ahead for the tourism sector, as by the end of 2018 there will be at least 1,200 new additional bedrooms in Belfast with 6 new hotels and extensions to existing hotels, all under construction. At present there is a total of 136 hotels (7887 rooms) within Northern Ireland with approximately 50% of these within the Greater Belfast Area.
The hotel will feature 119 luxury bedrooms with an Art Deco inspiration.
Exquisite furniture, luxurious linens and interior decorations ensure a perfect night's sleep for all guests. The bedrooms pay homage to the history of the site while offering the latest technology and connectivity for both leisure and business guests.
Guests and non-residents can relax in the champagne & cocktail bar in one of the sumptuous Drawing Offices.
The main Drawing Office can host medium to large-scale functions of every conceivable format. Providing space for up to 250 guests, this event space is housed within one of the cathedral-like vaulted offices, the 6 other meeting room spaces are made up of 1 meeting room with capacity of 60 guests, 3 meeting rooms with capacity for 40 guests and 2 meeting rooms with the capacity for 15 guests.
Smaller events and meetings can be catered for in one of five Heritage Rooms named after the many famous marine engineers and designers who spent their working lives here. The dedicated arrivals space is ideal for pre-function drinks and entertainment in a separate bar area and offers the perfect reception and business destination. Due to open September 2017.
The Maldron Hotel Belfast City will have 237 bedrooms. To accommodate the growing need for meeting rooms in Belfast city centre this hotel will also feature 2 large meeting rooms, an executive boardroom capable of hosting up to 100 delegates and 3 smaller meeting rooms. This city centre hotel will also have gym facilities as well as Grain & Grill Bar and Restaurant. Maldron Hotel Belfast City will be the second Belfast hotel for Dalata Hotel Group, the other of which is located at Belfast International Airport. Due to open April 2018.
Windsor House was bought by Hastings Hotel Group and will be renamed Grand Central Hotel. The building is being refurbished in to a 304 bedroom hotel, with restaurant and bar facilities (on ground and 22nd floor), conferencing facilities and a retail unit at Franklin Street. Due to open June 2018.
