The latest annual and monthly Northern Ireland hotel and guest house/guest accommodation/ B&B occupancy and sales figures. The latest annual self-catering occupancy and sales figures for Northern Ireland. Monthly United Kingdom Occupancy Survey Reports which incorporate results from surveys of serviced accommodation occupancy undertaken by each of the four national tourist boards in the UK.

Overall there was a 5% increase in rooms sold in hotels, guest houses, guest accommodation and B&Bs during January to October 2018, which equates to an additional 110,500 rooms sold compared with January to October 2017.

January-October 2018 saw hotels achieving unprecedented sales with almost 1.9 million rooms sold.  However both room and bed-space occupancy recorded decreases, impacted by the number of additional hotel rooms and beds to fill compared with the same period in 2017.

Guest houses, guest accommodation and B&Bs delivered a strong performance during January-October 2018 with increases in both occupancy and sales compared with the same period in 2017.

The self-catering sector annual unit occupancy for 2017 was 34%. There were an estimated 39,000 weeks sold during 2017, an increase of 7%.
