The latest annual and monthly Northern Ireland hotel and guest house/guest accommodation/ B&B occupancy and sales figures. The latest annual self-catering occupancy and sales figures for Northern Ireland. Monthly United Kingdom Occupancy Survey Reports which incorporate results from surveys of serviced accommodation occupancy undertaken by each of the four national tourist boards in the UK.



Overall almost 1.3m bed-spaces were sold in hotels, guest houses, guest accommodation and B&Bs during January-April 2019, an increase of 7% on January-April 2018.

January-April saw hotels achieving unprecedented sales with over 1 million bed-spaces sold.  However both room and bed-space occupancy recorded decreases, as an impact of the influx of hotel rooms and beds during this period, particularly in Belfast.

The guest house, guest accommodation and B&B sector experienced increases in both room and bed sales during January – April 2019.

The self-catering sector annual unit occupancy for 2018 was 33%. There were an estimated 45,000 weeks sold during 2018, an increase of 13%.
