Accommodation Occupancy

The latest annual and monthly Northern Ireland hotel and guest house/guest accommodation/ B&B occupancy and sales figures. The latest annual self-catering occupancy and sales figures for Northern Ireland. Monthly United Kingdom Occupancy Survey Reports which incorporate results from surveys of serviced accommodation occupancy undertaken by each of the four national tourist boards in the UK.

Rooms sold in hotels, guest houses, guest accommodation and B&Bs increased by 6%, which equates to 107,000 additional rooms sold compared to January-September 2016.

Hotel performance in the first half of 2017 was much stronger in comparison to the slow start seen in 2016. Summer 2017, while still achieving record levels, was more on a par with summer 2016, due to the sectors sharp recovery in the latter half of last year.

Very positive demand in September further strengthened the 2017 performance for the guesthouse/guest accommodation/B&B sector, continuing the significant levels of growth realised in 2016.

The self-catering sector annual unit occupancy for 2016 was 36%. There were 36,500 weeks sold during 2016, an increase of 12%. Please click here for more detailed information from NISRA.
