The latest annual and monthly Northern Ireland hotel and guest house/guest accommodation/ B&B occupancy and sales figures. The latest annual self-catering occupancy and sales figures for Northern Ireland. Monthly United Kingdom Occupancy Survey Reports which incorporate results from surveys of serviced accommodation occupancy undertaken by each of the four national tourist boards in the UK.

Overall over 4.7 million bed-spaces were sold in hotels, guest houses, guest accommodation and B&Bs during January-December 2019, an increase of 6% on January-December 2018.

During January-December hotels achieved unprecedented sales with over 3.9 million bed-spaces sold.  However both room and bed-space occupancy recorded decreases, likely impacted by the number of additional rooms to fill during this period.

2019 was a record year for the guest house, guest accommodation and B&B sector in terms of room and bed-space sales.  There were 458,200 rooms and 826,400 bed-spaces sold in guest house/guest accommodation/B&Bs during 2019.

The self-catering sector annual unit occupancy for 2018 was 33%. There were an estimated 45,000 weeks sold during 2018, an increase of 13%.

TNI produces tables showing the commercial accommodation available in Northern Ireland broken down by hotels (by classification), B&Bs, guest houses, guest accommodation, self-catering establishments, hostels and bunkhouses. The total number of rooms and bed-spaces available by type of accommodation are presented, broken down by Local Government District.
