The latest annual and monthly Northern Ireland hotel and guest house/guest accommodation/ B&B occupancy and sales figures. The latest annual self-catering occupancy and sales figures for Northern Ireland. Monthly United Kingdom Occupancy Survey Reports which incorporate results from surveys of serviced accommodation occupancy undertaken by each of the four national tourist boards in the UK.

Overall over 900,000 bed-spaces were sold in hotels, guest houses, guest accommodation and B&Bs during the first quarter of 2019, an increase of 8% on the same period in 2018.

Average hotel room and bed-space occupancy for the first quarter of 2019 recorded decreases, impacted by the number of additional hotel rooms and beds to fill compared with the same period in 2018.  However, there were 4% more hotel rooms sold and 7% more hotel bed-spaces sold compared to the same period in 2018.

The guest house, guest accommodation and B&B sector experienced increases in both room and bed sales during January – March 2019.

The self-catering sector annual unit occupancy for 2017 was 34%. There were an estimated 39,000 weeks sold during 2017, an increase of 7%.
