The latest annual Visitor Attraction Statistics, published by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) on 6 June 2019, give an overview of the performance of the Visitor Attraction market in Northern Ireland in 2018.

 During 2018 an estimated 21.1 million visits were made to 259 participating attractions, with a reported 40% of visits made by visitors who lived outside of Northern Ireland.

Country parks /parks /forests attracted the largest proportion of visitors (42%). Visitor/heritage centres attracted the second highest proportion of visitors during 2018 (21%).  

The top three responding attractions (excluding parks & gardens) during 2018 were Giant’s Causeway, Titanic Belfast and Ulster Museum.

Visits to the headline attractions (Giant’s Causeway and Titanic Belfast) increased by 5% between 2017 and 2018
