Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic Partners with CBS Sports

The Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic and CBS Sports Network announced an exciting new partnership to televise the upcoming two-day tournament on 1st and 2nd December, 2017.
Partnering with CBS Sports Network will not only raise the calibre of this already globally-anticipated sporting event, but will also show off this Northern-Ireland hosted event to eager basketball enthusiasts across the United States. The Network will televise two games per day from the two-day tournament live while thousands of fans are expected to visit the SSE Arena , Belfast, to experience the thrilling games first-hand.
The first NCAA collegiate basketball tournament to be played in Europe, The Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic will be a landmark moment in American basketball history and has been brought to Northern Ireland through a partnership with the Sport Changes Life Foundation, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Metro Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Speaking about the announcement of this exciting partnership with a leading American broadcaster Marc Mulholland, Executive Producer of Broadcasting and Executive Director of the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic, said: “We are honoured to welcome CBS Sports Network into our family as we complete this fantastic journey to bring NCAA Division 1 College basketball to Belfast, Northern Ireland, for the first time in sports broadcasting history. Whilst Basketball is a sport on the rise across the island of Ireland, it is a firmly established favourite in its homeland of the USA, originating in Massachusetts in 1891. The tournament will feature teams from well-known sporting universities across the USA including Manhattan College, from the Belfast Classic Partner the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), as well as College of the Holy Cross, La Salle University and Towson University.
The Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic is honoured to be supported by partners including The Rory Foundation, Aer Lingus, Tourism Northern Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Belfast City Council and travel package partner Chaka Travel. The event will be powered by Darius, Velocity Worldwide’s customer engagement technology, to create an experience like no other for the fans attending the unique event.
Tickets are available via Ticketmaster - all day tickets cost from £16 per adult, £11.50 for child tickets and family tickets start at £42.
