The spring campaign runs until March and features seven unique Northern Ireland themes that will target over four million adults across the island of Ireland and showcase there are more things to see, do and experience with a short break in Northern Ireland.
The Say Hello to More campaign was originally trialled in the Republic of Ireland market in autumn 2016 and resulted in almost 200,000 visits in a three-month period culminating in a significant return on investment.
Tourism NI has developed a strategic partnership with the NI Hotels Federation, which involved the recruitment of over sixty unique experiences to feature in the spring 2017 campaign and the provision of a co-operative marketing fund to encourage industry to target the domestic and Republic of Ireland market.
Naomi Waite, Tourism NI Director of Marketing commented; “The domestic and Republic of Ireland market continue to perform strongly for tourism in Northern Ireland with recent statistics showing from January to September 2016 we welcomed almost 1.9m visitors from both markets. As our visitor offering continues to develop, the Say Hello to More campaign allows us to highlight the great potential within the short break market and we are delighted to be able to launch this campaign in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
“Drone footage of our iconic attractions and our lesser known hidden gems feature on the sixty second advertisement, with broadcast, press and digital advertisements of suggested 48 hour itineraries encouraging visitors to stay longer and do more.”
Janice Gault, Chief Executive NI Hotels Federation commented; “Promotion of the Northern Ireland hotel industry within the domestic and Republic of Ireland market sectors is vital and we are delighted to work in partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland on the Say Hello to More Campaign.
“We believe that Northern Ireland has a great deal to offer in terms of unique experiences, a high quality hotel product and an excellent range of visitor attractions. We look forward to welcoming visitors over the next three months and continuing to grow the economic contribution tourism makes to Northern Ireland.”
The Say Hello to More campaign will include a dedicated micro site displaying all of the hotel and experiential offers accompanied by a series of 48-hour itineraries and a suite of social media support.
