Quality Grading Assessments and Statutory Inspections Postponed
Published March 20, 2020
Tourism Northern Ireland (Tourism NI) has announced that Quality Grading Assessments and Statutory Inspections will be postponed until further notice.
We recognise the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism businesses at this time. By postponing this service and associated payments, tourism businesses will have the time and space they need to put measures in place to protect their businesses.
All members of the Quality Grading Scheme will automatically have their membership extended by six months without charge and will maintain their current star grade. No further action is required at this time and we will write to tourism businesses one month before their new membership renewal date.
Statutory Inspections will be postponed until further notice and additional advice will follow.
In the meantime, Certification Officers and Quality Advisors are available for any questions you may have. Please contact the team on 028 9044 1682 or QA@tourismni.com.
Tourism NI is closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19. This is a global tourism issue and we are liaising with our colleagues in Tourism Ireland, VisitBritain, the Department for the Economy and industry bodies to provide advice and support as soon as we have it.
