Volunteer Now's Event & Volunteering Advice
Published September 10, 2020
Does your organisation host events regularly? Are you making plans for events next year? Will you need volunteer help to make these happen?
As the lead organisation for volunteering across Northern Ireland Volunteer Now has been involved in recruiting, training, managing and motivating volunteers at events since 2012.
We have worked in partnership with the 2012 Olympic Games, Derry/Londonderry City of Culture, World Police and Fire Games, Giro D'Iltalia, Tall Ships, Gran Fondo, Belfast Marathon, Balmoral Show, Lap the Lough, Irish Open Golf Championship and the 148th Open.
Our dedicated Events Officer can offer you a free 60 minute consultation to chat through your volunteer programme and plan for that amazing event you've been dreaming (or dreading!...) of.
Get in touch with Raquel at email@example.com to book your slot today!
* Please note that this service is only available to the voluntary/community/social enterprise sector and where there is a public benefit to involving volunteers.
In addition, we have a follow up to our COVID-19 related series of Volunteer Now Members’ Sessions looking at volunteering across themes:
Volunteering in Environmental and Heritage Groups in light of Covid-19 - how are things going? (17th September 2020 11am - 12pm)
Covid-19 has changed how we do so many things and volunteering is no exception. The measures such as social distancing, hand sanitising and wearing face coverings, mean that volunteering activities and roles have to be managed and carried out very differently.
The session will give you an opportunity to talk to colleagues working in a similar field about your experiences of managing and supporting volunteers under these new circumstances. You can hear how others are implementing the measures, share ideas, tips and strategies for dealing with any issues or challenges.
If you are interested in attending, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book a place. You will then be sent a link and joining instructions.
