Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is cognisant that increased knowledge and practical skills regarding digital platforms and applications is necessary in order to compete in the global marketplace. Therefore it plans to host a series of digital tourism workshops for tourism-related businesses in early 2017 as set below.

• The latest developments and trends in content marketing, and predictions for 2017

• Why blog? Outlining the benefits of regular blogging as a marketing tool, including relevant statistics which demonstrate the impact of effective blogging
• Creating content which is relevant and appeals to your audience
• Best practise in blogging for business, and how this relates to tourism
• Blog formats
• Blogging inspiration: How to continually come up with creative ideas for your blog
• Structuring your blog posts
• Writing headlines which drive clicks

• The importance of video in your content marketing mix, including relevant statistics which demonstrate the significance of online video in tourism
• A look at local and international video marketing examples in tourism
• Tools to help create video on a budget
• Live video: Broadcasting live is the next big thing in online video. Showing how to use live video, and doing a live broadcast if appropriate and feasible
