Meet the Buyer 2018

Following the record breaking success of 2017, Tourism NI is looking forward to a very exciting and industrious 2018 season ahead. Tour operators are already busy planning their programmes for 2019 and beyond and we have been working closely with Tourism Ireland to identify the best prospect operators to attend Meet the Buyer 2018.

This annual must-attend event provides an ideal opportunity for you to showcase your tourism business to a select, focused audience and, in so doing, increase your share of the lucrative tourism market in Northern Ireland.  

We are constantly striving to ensure the Meet the Buyer event improves year on year and, to help us do this, you must ensure you register on time and are properly prepared to do business at the event. Last year’s successful appointment matching software will be used again in 2018 and will ensure your sales appointments are accurately matched to your own specific business profile.  When the appointment system opens you will be able to see a full list of tour operators who are attending the event.

Event Details

Meet the Buyer 2018 will be held on Thursday 19th April 2018, and incorporates both a business and social event:

Business Workshop

Belfast Waterfront Conference & Exhibition Centre
8.00am - 4.00pm

Networking Dinner

Belfast - Venue to be announced 
7.30pm - 10.30pm

To ensure that you get the maximum benefit from the event it is important you attend the networking dinner as this is your final opportunity to meet with any tour operators you were unable to get an appointment with, please select your attendance on the booking form.

Who Should Attend?

A range of product providers from across all tourism sectors in Northern Ireland should attend. Specifically this includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hotel & Accommodation Providers
  • Visitor Experiences
  • Experience, Special Interest & Activity providers
  • New tourism businesses
  • Small to medium size tourism businesses
  • Transport providers


The registration fee includes attendance at the networking dinner, hospitality during the workshop and business appointments for one or two representatives as outlined below:

  • 1 rep with 1 desk - £395.00 + VAT
  • 2 reps with 1 desk - £495.00 + VAT
  • 2 reps with 2 desks- £595.00 + VAT

We encourage larger tourism businesses to book multiple reps/ desks, meaning we can facilitate more international operators.

Registration for the event closed on Wednesday 7th February 2018. We are unable to accept any further registrations after this deadline.
