Audit of the Causeway Coastal Route gets underway

The project will include reviewing existing signage and infrastructure across the route. Recommendations are sought to improve the current visitor experience and identify and develop Discovery Points along the route. The overarching aim of the project is to provide greater alignment and synergy between the visitor experience on the Causeway Coastal Route with that experienced on the Wild Atlantic Way. 

We have appointed a consultancy team to undertake this exercise, comprising The Paul Hogarth Company and Tandem Design. Both organisations have worked together across the island on many tourism and landscape projects, including the Wild Atlantic Way from its inception. They bring to this commission an excellent working knowledge of the Causeway Coast, its unique landscapes, villages, towns and cities.  

Tourism Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland understand how important the Causeway Coastal Route is to so many residents, business owners and interest groups. Therefore, this project will also involve two stages of public engagement, giving everybody the opportunity to participate in building a shared understanding of the route and how it can be improved.
