Being Big Hearted in Tourism & Hospitality

Tourism NI is delighted to partner with Belfast Metropolitan College to deliver this level 2 City and Guilds accredited short course.

This course is aimed at those who wish to refresh and hone their customer skills and already have experience in the sector.

Providing excellence in customer service is vital to deliver the giant welcome our visitors deserve ensuring they return again and again whilst also improving the reputation of our destination. 

Northern Ireland's Embrace a Giant Spirit brand is about unlocking our unique passion and enthusiasm, being warm and generous hosts going the extra mile to ensure each visitor feels welcome.  

The Bighearted-Level 2 Award in Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism will take place on the 22nd February 2024 at Titanic Belfast.

The course will provide you with:

  • Skills in customer care which will equip you better to create quality customer experiences.
  • A Level 2 qualification in the Principles of Customer Service

Qualification objectives include:

  • Understanding the importance to the organisation in providing excellent customer service in tourism.
  • Understanding the role of the individual in delivering customer service in tourism.
  • Understanding the importance of customers' needs and expectations in tourism.

This free course is open to those currently employed in a customer service/facing role within Tourism & Hospitality with all applications being fully funded by Tourism NI. Please apply early as places are limited.
