This webinar detailed information on the Digital Transformation Flexible Fund for NI tourism & hospitality businesses.

What is the Digital Transformation Flexible Fund?

The Digital Transformation Flexible Fund (DTFF) aims to help small and micro businesses in Northern Ireland to invest in advanced digital technologies,  establishing a grant fund to support eligible businesses with investments in capital equipment that is critical to achieving their digital transformation ambitions.

The focus of the fund is on innovative technologies, such as: 

  • smart environments and the Internet of Things 
  • simulation, process automation and additive manufacturing
  • big data and analytics
  • immersive technologies
  • artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • blockchain technologies and more

About our speaker: 

This session was delivered by Michael Forster, FFNI Operations Lead - Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, who is managing the roll out of the fund.

During the session Michael shared details on DTFF and highlighted the possibilities of using AR, VR and IoT for tourism and hospitality operators.

This webinar was delivered by Tourism NI in partnership with Newry, Mourne & Down District Council, who are leading on the delivery of the Digital Transformation Flexible Fund across Northern Ireland.

Who is eligible for this funding?

The Digital Transformation Flexible Fund is aimed at small and micro businesses with less than 49 employees.

To be eligible for this funding, capital investments must enable business transformation rather than simply digitisation of existing business models or operations.
