About the Business Innovation Grant (BIG)
If your business has an innovative idea but needs financial support to commercialise it, the Business Innovation Grant (BIG) could help!
BIG offers grants of up to £20,000 to support micro and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in Northern Ireland with innovation projects. BIG is delivered by Invest NI in partnership with Innovate NI on behalf of the Department for the Economy.
BIG helps businesses develop and bring new products, services, or processes to market.
Who can apply for the Business Innovation Grant (BIG)?
BIG is open to Northern Ireland businesses from all sectors (except primary agriculture) that are not currently Invest NI clients. Eligible businesses must meet specific criteria, including alignment with Innovate NI’s definition of innovation.
How can my business benefit from the Business Innovation Grant (BIG)?
Grants range from £5,000 to £20,000 and can be used for market research, product development, market entry, trade fairs, exhibitions and more. Successful applicants will also join Innovate NI’s programme for further guidance and support.
Applications are open from Thursday 14 November to 12:00 noon on Friday 13 December 2024.
