Make sure your tourism business is bookable online ahead of the Amgen Irish Open

Up to 80,000 fans will attend this world-class event with Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington, Seamus Power and Tom McKibbon all confirmed to play.

When the Irish Open was held in Portstewart on Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coastal Route in 2017, it generated 24,000 bed nights with 25% of visitors being from out of state.

Tourism Northern Ireland are working in close partnership with DP World Tour, organisers of the Amgen Irish Open, to help our industry partners to be part of the event.

We are encouraging accommodation providers, visitor attractions and experiences to become bookable on the Discover Northern Ireland website ahead of the event, powered by our partnership with TXGB.

The DP World Tour will be linking to bookable product listings on the Discover Northern Ireland website from their website, social and digital channels.

They will also be linking from their ticketing confirmation emails through to Discover Northern Ireland, encouraging ticket holders to book accommodation, attractions and experiences ahead of the Amgen Irish Open.

Tourism Northern Ireland will also be promoting this across our own social and digital marketing channels.

Tourism Northern Ireland's partnership with TXGB is supporting industry to become bookable online for the first time or to access other routes to market including the Discover Northern Ireland website which attracts over 4m visitors each year.

A Booking Fee of 2.5% + VAT is payable to TXGB. Tourism Northern Ireland do not charge any commission (0%) for bookings via the Discover Northern Ireland website.
