Tourism Northern Ireland is pleased to announce the launch of an immersive technology programme.

‘Enhancing Visitor Experiences Through Immersive Technology 2018/2019’

This new programme is a capital funding programme which aims to support the development of new immersive experiences that create a compelling reason for visitors to come to Northern Ireland and to enhance their experience whilst here.

Tourism NI’s ambition is to double the value of Northern Ireland tourism by 2030. This ambitious goal is set in the context of a travel industry which is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world and one which has experienced enormous digital transformation.

The programme focuses on projects which have at their core an immersive technology solution that allows visitors to enjoy our stories and experiences in a new and engaging way.
This will include animation of the visitor experience at existing attractions and improvement of interpretation and storytelling so that attractions can tell their story creatively through innovative technology.

This programme is open to applications from 13th November and will close for applications at 11am on 3rd December 2018.
